Too bad those two haven’t been combined, yet. I’m sure they will eventually.
Over the weekend Thing 1 and Thing 3 decided that they wanted to carve pumpkins. Pumpkin carving has definitely changed over the years. It has gone from chaos to the boys working hard and doing their own thing without their mamma’s help.
Thing 3 was the first to get his carve on. After a little help from me, he scooped out those seeds, which he said was hard and slimy. He drew his design and then I helped him cut it out.
Thing 1 did his entire pumpkin on his own. The only thing I did was help him cut the top, so that we made sure it would go back on his pumpkin.
At the end he was super proud of his creation and he didn’t cut himself.
Yesterday, I sent the kids outside after lunch and this is what I saw.
Four kids with Nerf guns, hiding behind things. Apparently, they were under attack. At least I know I will be safe.
However, as I tried to sneak around to get pictures. Thing 4 decides that I am the bad guy and shoots me. Yes, her gun is upside down, but she makes great gun noises.
Eventually, I was able to convince the kids to give me their most “savage” looks so I could have a picture. Yes, that meant that Thing 4 needed to shoot me again. Apparently, I am the bad guy.
Just another day Raising the Cameron Clan!
