Today was a very long day. All three boys ended up playing 2 games each.
We started our day with Thing 2 playing at 9am. As per usual, he played the first half in goal and the second half in the field. They won.
Next up was Thing 1 at 10:30am. His team played a hard fought game and ended up in a tie.
After Thing 1’s 10:30am, we had a small break before Thing 1 and Thing 3 played at 1:30pm. We got an unexpected surprise at Thing 1’s 1:30 game. Thing 1’s team was only going to have one substitute, so they asked if Thing 2 wanted to play with them. Of course, Thing 2 wanted to play. So Thing 2 got to play up on Thing 1’s team. To top it all off, Thing 1’s team was playing one of the other teams that are Thing 2’s age. So Thing 2 was going to get to play his own team mates.
In the first half, Thing 2 played right back and Thing 1 played center back. I think it was a really cool experience for both of them. In the second half, Thing 2 played in goal.
At halftime, I switched with Daddy Cameron and headed down to Thing 3’s game for the second half of his first game and all of game that started at 3pm. In Thing 3 first game he had a great right footed shot on goal. However, the highlight of his day was when he scored a goal in the second game.
Thing 3 taking his game scoring shot.
Oh, and we can’t forget the big cheer section. She showed off her mad skills of climbing the fence.
She climbed this far without any help.
She also decided that she is ready to play soccer and barrowed Thing 2’s cleats, socks, shin guards and goalkeeper jersey.
It was a long, but exciting day filled with lots of soccer.
Just another day Raising the Cameron Clan!
